Fundraising Pancake Breakfast!
Tomorrow (November 13), AAUW- Boulder is hosting a Pancake Breakfast (link leads to the flyer) to raise funds for our Expanding Your Horizons event in February.
The breakfast is being hosted at the Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill, on 28th St, in Boulder (map) from 7:30am to 9:30am. The menu is set: pancakes, sausage or bacon, orange juice, and coffee or tea.
Breakfast is $7/person, with admission at the door or by pre-sold ticket if you were lucky enough to get caught by one of the ticket-sellers ahead of time.
Expanding Your Horizons is Boulder Branch’s annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) event, featuring a day full of hands-on workshops for Middle-School (grades 6, 7, and 8th) girls. We hope to introduce the girls to fields and possibilities that they hadn’t considered to be interesting enough to study or aspire to before. It’s a fun, full day, and we look forward to hosting the ~300 girls at the CU Engineering Center. However, it is a big event, so we need as much help to set us up to make it a fun and successful event as we can pull together.
This fundraiser will help us to do that. Please show up, buy a ticket, and enjoy yummy pancakes in good company. Food consumed for a good cause is guilt-free, y’know.
