Expanding Your Horizons

Expanding Your Horizons – Boulder Workshops

Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) is AAUW-Boulder’s annual conference of  science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) hands-on workshops for 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls, parents, teachers and counselors. Held at the Engineering Center at the University of Colorado Boulder Campus, in February.

For the students, the conference features three hands-on workshops in science and technology fields, ranging from Physics to Veterinary Medicine, Computer Science to Meteorology.

For teachers, parents, and other attending adults, the conference features three informational workshops, in topics ranging from Planning for College to Understanding Adolescent Girls.

Information for our Boulder, CO. conference is graciously hosted by the National Expanding Your Horizon’s organization, and last conference’s info can be found at the Official Conference Website.

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

The 2012 Expanding Your Horizons was, in a word, fantastic. Three hundred girls from the Denver Metro area gathered in the University of Colorado Engineering Center to explore the areas of STEM endeavor. Archeology to zoology, the participants gained hands-on experience while exploring the university environment. We cannot provide this amazing opportunity without the support of so many of our Branch members who give their time, effort and financial support to make this happen. EYH is what AAUW is all about and we are proud of the continued success of this program.
